It is almost surprising that Judith and Georg always find time to spend with their guests despite their busy daily routine. Life on the Matzhof farm is full of work throughout the year: the garden needs tending, and the animals must be cared for. Farm life never really stops.
The farm also includes extensive meadows directly around the property as well as up at the Karer Pass. Depending on the weather and conditions, hay can be harvested up to twice a year. The farm’s own woodland also requires regular maintenance. It provides the wood chips used to sustainably heat the Matzhof.
Judith mainly focuses on the stable and the care of the animals. Despite all the work, there is still time for personal encounters with guests. This is exactly what makes a stay at Matzhof special: many visitors enjoy joining Judith in her daily tasks and experiencing authentic farm life up close – a true “vacation on the farm” experience.
