On the mountains, clouds and snowfall will often obstruct visibility at first. In the afternoon, the snowfall will retreat to the main alpine crest.

A strong northerly current will cause humid air masses to accumulate along the main alpine crest. The air will become drier towards the south.
It is windy and cold on the mountains. Clouds often obstruct visibility on the main alpine crest and a few snow showers may spread from North Tyrol. The sun is often shining in the southern mountain ranges.

On Thursday, residual clouds will clear in the morning and then the sun will shine widely; during the day, the sky will often be cloudless. There will also be unclouded sunshine on Friday. On Saturday, a few patches of cloud will move through from the west and the sun will fade into the background at times. Sunday will continue with a mixture of sun and clouds.
